Sahagun Shipping Policy

VALENTINE'S ORDER PLACEMENT DEADLINE AS OF 2-11-12

Shipping Deadline for Overnight FedEx to arrive on Valentine's Day is Sunday, February 12th at 8pm PST. Because we always require signature, please make sure someone will be around to sign for it or specify when filling out order form to deliver without signature.

DELIVERY VIA 2ND DAY AND ECONOMY ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE ON FEBRUARY 14.


Cool Weather Shipping now in effect:
Economy ships Monday - Friday
2-day ships Monday - Wednesday
Overnight FedEx are shipped Monday – Thursday


Orders received in our system Monday – Wednesday are generally shipped with 24 hours of processing. During the busy holiday season, orders may take up to 5 days to process.

Orders received Wednesday – Sunday are processed in the order in which they are received and will usually ship out between Monday and Wednesday of the following week. We will not ship 2 day FedEx packages on Thursday as they will sit in a hot warehouse till Monday. If you want the package sent on Thursday, please ship Overnight FedEx.

We must ship overnight FedEx during the warmer months especially summertime. Sadly, overnight rates can get costly. On the other hand the item in question is chocolate or meltable just like chocolate so in order that you don't receive a melted puddle, we must send overnight. Rest assured, we are simply passing on the charges incurred from FedEx.

SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED for all FedEx 2nd day and FedEx Overnight packages. We suggest shipping to a business location when possible so that you can be sure that someone is around to accept the delivery. Your package will not be delivered without a signature. If you won't be home, you may leave a note on the door with the delivery date and your signature specifying what you want done with the package in your absence (ex. leave with apt. manager or with neighbor). The driver will ultimately decide the safest option though.

If no one is present, FedEx will leave a note allowing you to sign to leave the package on your doorstep (not advised because it may melt) or with a neighbor when they redeliver. Otherwise FedEx will make two more attempts before returning the package to us. Sahagún will not refund purchases (product & shipping/handling) if the product is damaged or melted after the first delivery attempt or if it is returned to us by FedEx. If the package needs to be shipped a second time, the customer will incur a second shipping charge. Sahagún will not refund purchases that have been damaged or stolen after they have been delivered to the alternate residence.

USPS Priority Mail (Economy) is optional only during the cooler months of the year.

USPS Priority Mail (Economy) packages should arrive within 2-3 days. That said, delivery times are not guaranteed by USPS and can arrive anywhere between 2-7 days. Sahagún will not be held liable if a package is not delivered within that time frame nor will Sahagún be held liable if USPS misdelivers said package thereby causing an extended delay. USPS Priority Mail slows down during the December Holiday season as well as during the Mother's Day season. If you want the delivery of your package to be guaranteed on the day specified, we recommend choosing FedEx.

No signature is required for USPS Priority Mail (Economy). That said, please actively await your packages to shorten it's exposure time to the elements & to the public in general. We suggest shipping to a business location when possible so that you can be sure that someone is around to accept the delivery. Sahagún will not refund purchases that have been damaged or stolen after they have been delivered to the destination residence.

You can track your shipment online for both USPS Priority Mail (Economy) and for FedEx. Your tracking number will be emailed to you shortly after shipping.

Smaller orders of up to $10 can be shipped USPS Priority Mail (Economy) $7.90, this option will appear when checking out.

Advance orders are welcome and will be shipped on the day specified by you. To place an advance order specify the date on which it must arrive at its destination in one of the Gift Options sections of the checkout page.

Please double check shipping addresses, phone numbers and method of payment before placing your order. Sahagún is not responsible for orders delayed or returned due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses. Sahagún cannot ship FedEx to PO boxes. Costs resulting from such errors will be charged to you.

Sahagún is not responsible for shipping delays caused by FedEx or USPS Priority Mail due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control. If FedEx fails to deliver when promised, shipping charges will be refunded. If USPS Priority Mail (Econ omy) fails to deliver when promised, shipping charges will not be refunded as delivery times are not guaranteed by USPS.

Every item we sell is triple inspected before it is shipped. If merchandise is defective or damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately after your package arrives. Returned products must be in absolutely new, unused, and uneaten condition for refund.
